Homemade Cordon Bleu

articleUseronApril 24, 2026

• Dip each cordon bleu successively in:
1. Flour (tap off any excess).

2. Beaten egg (making sure to coat the entire surface).

3. Breadcrumbs (press firmly to adhere).

• For an even thicker and crispier crust, you can dip it a second time in the egg and then the breadcrumbs.

4. Cooking:
• In a large skillet, heat the butter and oil mixture over medium heat (the butter adds flavor, the oil prevents it from burning).
• Cook the cordon bleu for about 5 to 7 minutes per side. They should be golden brown and the cheese should be starting to melt inside.

• If the cordon bleu are very thick, you can finish cooking them for 5 minutes in a 180°C (350°F) oven to ensure the meat is cooked through without burning the breading.

5. Serving:
• Serve immediately, piping hot, with green beans, homemade mashed potatoes, or small pasta shells to keep with the theme!

I Arrived For Christmas Lunch In Los Angeles, But My Seat Was Taken By My Son-In-Law’s Mother. “This Year We Only Invited Those Who Truly Matter,”

My water broke in the middle of my sister-in-law’s lavish vineyard wedding, soaking the marble floor beneath my feet. “Please—call an ambulance,” I gasped, but my mother-in-law hurried me into a nearby bathroom and closed the door behind me. “This baby will not steal her spotlight,” she hissed.
