Being an epiphytic plant, anthuriums grow spontaneously on other plants and therefore don’t require dense, black soil. The soil should be loose, quick-drying, and moisture-retaining. A mixture of potting soil and pine bark is ideal.

Anthuriums require caution when fertilizing, as they are epiphytic plants and don’t require large amounts of fertilizer. It’s recommended to halve the recommended amount of fertilizer by purchasing products from the same manufacturer that contain potting soil.
Be careful not to get the flowers or covers wet, as they could rot. When spraying the foliage, try to protect the flowers with small bags or other available means.

Anthuriums prefer warm temperatures; the optimal winter temperature for them is 22-28 degrees Celsius. Drafts can seriously damage a plant, causing stress and disease.
